Comfy & Cute for holiday season

So it’s that time of year again – the chill in the air and endless family visits that put on a pressure of looking (if not being) perfect every second of every day. Don’t get me wrong, it does make me all festive and fuzzy on the inside, but there’s nothing better than a cute and comfy outfit to really dig out that energized-and-cheerful mood.

For me, it’s all about key elements!

  1. Layered and WARM!

I cannot stress this enough. I know we all want to look like that model-or-actress-what’s-her-name, but it’s no good when you’re freezing your ass off. So layer away, put on that cute lacy top that makes your waist look like a dream, it’s all good as long you have a fluffy cozy cardigan to keep you nice and warm.

2. Pop of color.

If you ask me, I’d wear black all day every day. Black is my safe color – and we all have those, I know. But when’s a better time to spice up your outfit and make that extra bit of effort if not holidays. So be brave and celebrate yourself!

3. It’s all about shoes, gurl

Honestly, I cannot imagine running errands in shoes that hurt my feet (and soul!) So go pick yourself the comfiest pair of boots (they can even be pretty) and fly around like a magic unicorn that you are supposed to be!

4. Patterns matter.

You know that feeling when you go through your closet anxiously looking for something to level up your outfit – patterns is the answer. Make those prints clash or throw on that thick-knit sweater, contrast will make your staple pieces sing like they never did before.

And remember, at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter what you wore, it matters how you felt! So do what makes you feel good and have the happiest holidays.
